Keswick Jazz Festival 2010

Thursday 13th - Friday 14th May 2010
The Tony Oreshko Trio have been booked for four performances over two days at the 2010 Keswick Festival, Keswick, Cumbria, England.
The trio will be appearing with guest musicians John Hallam (sax and clarinet), Bob Clarke (violin, pictured right) and Dutch violin virtuoso Tim Kliphuis.
Tony Oreshko Solo Set
Tony Oreshko will also be making his concert debut as an unaccompanied soloist, playing a full-length set that is rather different from his familiar Django style
guitar work. The performance will include Bach, Brazilian music, traditional Celtic music, Ragtime and much more, in addition to familiar jazz standards. Regular festival-goers will hear a whole new aspect of Tony's guitar playing. Not to be missed!

Concert at Martock Church, Somerset

The trio's sound is particularly well suited to concerts in churches, where the acoustics are often wonderful. Martock Church is a Grade 1 Listed Church that stages regular jazz and classical music concerts. This venue should provide a marvellous setting for a performance by the trio, and can seat up to 300 with a clear view of the stage.
Tickets will be £5 in advance, £6 on the door and can be bought in advance by mailing a cheque to Mrs Kathleen Lewis, 29 Ashfield Park, Martock, TA12, for collection on the door.

Pershore Jazz Festival 2010

The trio are very pleased to have been invited to play at this festival for the first time, and will be joined on both concerts by the fabulous John Hallam on clarinet and saxophone.
Performance times have now been confirmed as 8pm-10.15pm on Saturday 14th and 12pm-2.15pm on Sunday 15th. Both concerts will be at the Club Bar Venue.
Pershore is a few miles from Worcester. The festival takes place on the Pershore College campus, so attendees will have use of college amenities (bar, cafe, accommodation etc) and will be able to hear performances by some of the top names in British jazz. The band played at Teignmouth Jazz Festival in November 2009. Dutch violin star Tim Kliphuis was in the area so we asked him to sit in on a few tunes at the end of the concert as a surprise guest. The resulting performance was described as "magical" and the festival organisers promptly booked the trio to appear with Tim at the 2010 festival. Don't miss this one!

Here is early notification that the Tony Oreshko Trio have been booked for three performances over two days at the 2011 Keswick Festival, Keswick, Cumbria, England. The trio will comprise Glen Hawkins on rhythm guitar and either Bruce Rollo or John Fellows on double bass.
The trio will be appearing with guest musicians John Hallam (sax and clarinet), Mike Piggott (violin) and a third guest yet to be announced.
