Study NotesAllegro in A minor was written by the Italian guitar virtuoso Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829).Along with Ferdinando Carulli (1770-1841), Fernando Sor (1778-1839) and Matteo Carcassi (1792-1853) he was one of the great players and guitar composers of the early 19th century whose work laid the foundations of classical guitar. This arpeggio study is no 1 from Giuliani's op. 50 and is currently a grade 1 ABRSM exam piece. I'll be adding some more information and an MP3 recording of this piece in the near future. |
