Tony Oreshko from England..." (Acoustic Guitar magazine, USA) has performed at major jazz festivals throughout the British Isles and Europe, and has built a reputation as an outstanding acoustic guitarist.

Tony fronts his own band playing jazz standards in a style influenced by gypsy jazz genius Django Reinhardt. He also performs as a solo guitarist playing a mixture of Celtic, jazz, Latin and some original material.

Tony Oreshko Solo - Celtic and Jazz Fingerstyle Guitar

In addition to the Django influenced guitar work with his trio, Tony performs as a solo fingerstyle guitarist. The solo set comprises jazz standards, some original compositions and a wide variety of Celtic, blues, classical, Brazilian, ragtime and calypso tunes. Recent solo performances included Lyme Regis Jazz Festival, a concert at Kennaway House, Sidmouth, Devon and Caerleon Arts Festival in South Wales. The Tony Oreshko Trio

The Tony Oreshko Trio made its debut in August 2005, performing at Bude Jazz Festival, Cornwall, UK. The trio has since been in constant demand for appearances at jazz festivals and concerts throughout the UK. Tony can also be heard performing as a freelance guitarist with a number of jazz bands and musicians in the South West of England and beyond.

Thanks to all of you who've visited this website over the past few years - it's had over 1.3 million hits so far. The Tony Oreshko Trio are presently taking a well-deserved break from performing and touring, but Tony will be arranging some solo dates for 2014 and planning a solo recording for release next year. Keswick Jazz Festival 2013
The trio's visit to Keswick Jazz Festival, Cumbria in May this year was a tremendous success. The band played fantastic gigs with guest violinist Emma Fisk, saxophone maestro John Hallam and German reed virtuoso Matthias Seuffert. Tony first performed at Keswick Festival in 1998 and has been asked back every year since, making this his sixteenth year at the festival.

Bude Jazz Festival 2013
The trio played Bude Jazz Festival again in August 2013 and did three amazing gigs with John Hallam. John is a brilliant musician and sparks always fly when he plays with the trio. Go to the Gigs page for full details

Over the years Tony's band, in various guises, has played at dozens of well known festivals and concerts throughout the UK and Europe. Included amongst these are Upton, Lyme Regis, Lichfield, Birmingham, Plymouth, Pershore, Saltburn, Greenwich; Shetland, Ayr (Scotland), Kinsale (Eire); Breda, Amersfoort, Arnhem (Netherlands); Copenhagen and Silkeborg (Denmark).

John Marshall, saxophone

Veteran sax star John Marshall has officially retired from performing but occasionally sits in with the trio for a few numbers. John was a member of Georgie Fame's Blue Flames in the 1960s, toured with Sarah Vaughan and played with the likes of Stevie Wonder, the Faces, the LSO - and just about any jazz legend you care to mention.
