(Acoustic Guitar magazine, USA) has performed at major jazz festivals throughout the British Isles and Europe, and has built a reputation as an outstanding acoustic jazz guitarist.

A founding member of the Hot Club influenced bands Shine and Boulevard Django, Tony now fronts his own band playing jazz standards in a style influenced by gypsy jazz genius Django Reinhardt.

The Tony Oreshko Trio

The Tony Oreshko Trio made its debut in August 2005, performing at Bude Jazz Festival, Cornwall, UK. The trio has since been in constant demand for appearances at jazz festivals and concerts throughout the UK. Tony can also be heard performing as a freelance guitarist with a number of jazz bands and musicians in the South West of England and beyond.

Tony Oreshko Solo

In addition to the Django influenced guitar work with his trio, Tony made his debut at Keswick Jazz Festival earlier this year as a solo fingerstyle guitarist. The two and a half hour set comprised jazz standards, some original compositions and a wide variety of blues, classical, Brazilian, celtic, ragtime and calypso pieces. Recent Gigs

Veteran sax wizard John Marshall occasionally sits in with the trio for a few numbers. John was a member of Georgie Fame's Blue Flames in the 1960s, toured with Sarah Vaughan and played with the likes of Stevie Wonder and Nat Adderley. Jazz Festival News

Teignmouth Jazz Festival
After an extremely successful debut gig in 2009, the trio returned to Teignmouth Jazz Festival in November 2010 with Dutch violinist Tim Kliphuis. The gig was tremendously well received by an appreciative audience - read a review by John Leonard.

Pershore Jazz Festival
The Trio's first visit to Pershore Jazz Festival with John Hallam on 14-15th August was highly enjoyable and extrememly well received. Alan Barnes also joined the band for a few numbers as a surprise guest, much to the delight of the audience and the band.

Keswick Jazz Festival 2010
The trio's annual visit to Keswick Jazz Festival in May this year was another great success. The band played fantastic gigs with violinist Tim Kliphuis, saxophone maestro John Hallam and with the 82 year old violin wizard, Bob Clarke. There was also a full length gig with Tony Oreshko playing solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar. The band will be appearing at the 2011 festival in May.

More Festivals...
The trio were delighted to play Lyme Regis and Bude Jazz Festivals again in 2010, and have been booked to appear at Bude again in 2011. For full details of all festival and other bookings go to the Gigs page
